Channels¶
At time of writing (13 September 2018, pyconuk-2018), we had the following public channels:
- announcements (admins only)
- av
- djangogirls
- feedback
- general_chat
- helpdesk
- introductions
- recruitment
- social
- talks
- undefined
And private channels:
- chairs
- contributors
- djangogirlscoaches
- helpdesk-helpers
- sponsors
The following channels are auto-joined when somebody signs up (configured in Settings > Default Channels):
- announcements
- helpdesk
- introductions
- social
- undefined
Note
We have the metadata in Ironcage to detect if somebody is a contributor, sponsor, etc. It would be a nice future enhancement to set up a way to auto-join people to the appropriate extra channels.
